TOPEKA, Kansas (WIBW/Gray News) — A Kansas woman used a frying pan to ward off a would-be burglar, police said.
The Topeka Police Department said officers were called to the house on Monday evening to report a burglary attempt.
When the police arrived, they learned that the man tried to enter the house, but the victim beat him off with a frying pan.
Alejandro D. Ontiveros, 32, was arrested that night and registered with the Shawnee County Department of Corrections.
He is charged with endangering a child with aggravated circumstances, aggravated burglary, battery and interfering with a law enforcement officer, police said.
