Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto said the plan to convert subsidized 3kg LPG stoves into induction ovens will start in 2022 as the House of Representatives has not yet started debating the scheme’s budget: “Of course it hasn’t been approved yet,” , Airlangga said on Friday.
According to him, the scheme of the induction furnace is still being tested. Of the planned 300,000 induction cookers, 2,000 are already planned for distribution in Bali and Solo. “The results of this trial will be evaluated for improvement,” he said, adding that the government is concerned about people’s desire to use induction cookers and will look into their use.
