Place about a teaspoon of sauce, a pinch of cheese, and a pair of pepperoni in the center of the wrapper.Be sure not to overfill your wontons.Leave enough room to fold it up.
Here’s a big mistake you need to avoid: don’t overfill your wontons.I did this with a couple of my pizza rolls, letting mine fold and pinch short, causing the pizza rolls to unravel in the air fryer.Don’t be greedy.Only fill the wontons to the point where you feel comfortable pinching them together.
Otherwise, it’s perfect cheap food.Yep, it’s junk food.But for a few bucks at the grocery store, you can buy virtually unlimited pizza rolls that are easy to make and probably tastier than the frozen varieties.The whole idea of the recipe from @arimonika – which has garnered 4.5 million views – is to make a delicious, cheap snack for college students.It’s certainly been a success in this regard.
its not bad, right?Granted, it might take some work for me to pinch the wontons.Yes, some corners are burnt.But it was crispy on the outside and sticky on the inside and tasted just like regular pizza.But regular pizza is great!Especially the crunchy bite form.
Now, any time you air fry wonton wrappers there is a problem.It doesn’t have an addictive, bubbly, flaky crust without the hot oil.A fryer just makes a different product than an air fryer.But that doesn’t mean air fryer products are bad.It’s just not as good as the less healthy, messier fryers.I had the same problem making egg rolls in the air fryer.The convenience of an air fryer comes at a price.
But what about the verdict?I definitely recommend making this recipe.It’s a little embarrassing how much I love the little wonton pizza rolls.It’s simple, but it’s cheesy, gooey, and delicious.Sometimes this is exactly what you need.
