FERLORD non-stick pan review – it sticks to its target, but nothing sticks to it

OVERVIEW – The FERLORD Non-Stick Pan is a well-made, medium-weight, state-of-the-art non-stick pan made by a well-known company. The silicone-coated handle is securely held in the hand, does not burn or slip out of the handle. Since this device does not require charging and has no moving parts, this time I had to change my mindset a bit. But I have found FERLORD non-stick pans to work.
FERLORD non-stick pans have a sticker in the center indicating that FERLORD pans are coated with “PPG Eclipse HB High Durability Non-Stick Coating”. On the PPG website, I gathered some details about this coverage, which made me even more eager to have breakfast the next morning.
FERLORD pans have a PFOA-free coating. That’s why I’m happy to review the FERLORD pan. I have a full life, but I don’t want to shorten it with foods that are known to cause illness.
As it turned out, since 2013, PFOA and its close relatives have been used in Teflon-based coatings. PFOA paints are now banned, and for good reason.
In some studies, higher levels of PFOA in humans have been associated with higher cholesterol levels, changes in liver function, reduced immune responses, thyroid disease, and an increase in kidney and testicular cancer. Is it getting hot in here?
FERLORD pans are coated with PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene), which is considered safe and does not contain BPO-A (for example, BPA is an undesirable ingredient in some water bottles).
PTFE must not overheat, FERLORD states this in the manual. I will add that overheated PTFE can be hazardous to health due to the gases it gives off, so do not overheat this or any other non-stick cookware.
The handle is separated from the pot. The app is lightweight and includes a decent-sized Phillips screwdriver to keep things simple. I want screws, washers, lock washers, and nuts to last for a long time. During testing, the handle never dangled or rattled.
The instructions recommend washing and drying the pan, then brush lightly with oil and heat over low heat for two minutes. FERLORD claims that this procedure will help prolong the life of the pan coating. I went through these simple steps and cooked breakfast with bacon and egg in a pan.
Scrambled eggs seem like a good test of a pan’s non-stick properties. We have an old non-stick pan that can be used to fry eggs non-stick, but now scrambled eggs require spraying the pan with cooking spray beforehand. This pot will be thrown out soon.
When the scrambled eggs are ready, they are completely poured out of the pan without the encouragement of any utensils.
FERLORD pans are non-stick for any hard-boiled eggs, and when the pan is cool, a light rub with a paper towel will show that no eggs have stuck to the surface of the pan.
The standard warranty for pans is not listed in the instruction manual or warranty card. I followed the instructions on the warranty card and went to the FERLORD website to register for an extended warranty. In the support section of the FERLORD website, I entered the 7 digit number on the shipping box label and a confirmation appeared that said “Lifetime Warranty”. I took a screenshot of this check and saved it to my permanent cloud storage.
The FERLORD pan is perfect as advertised. I expect this to last for many years, but this is a “lifetime” warranty. Whether “lifetime” refers to the pot or its owner, I hope this is the way forward.
The photo with paper towels and scrambled eggs looks like you poured some kind of oil into the pan. You? I’m looking for a non-stick pan that doesn’t require oil, oil, or cooking spray. Mainly used for eggs (butter is great for cooking!!!).
Hi Lynn, I should have commented on this. I use vegetable oil or butter for most things, but this is just for taste. If this pan didn’t add fat, the food would still slip out of it.
